Green Tea, Anyone?

Green Tea, Anyone?

I typically prefer black teas, but today I chose green tea for an immune boost.  I tend to avoid green tea due to its high caffeine content which can have a strong effect on the liver, blood pressure, and stress hormones. (35mg in one cup)  However, in moderate amounts, green tea is a powerful antioxidant source.   Several studies show green tea fights oxidative stress to protect the cells of our body/brain from aging, deteriorating or growing out of control (cancer).  Green tea offers immune support by fighting viruses, fungus and bacteria. It also regulates blood sugar levels, decreases inflammation, lowers cholesterol and inhibits formation of clots.  Honestly if you read up on green tea, the list goes on and on.

Green tea often gets a bad rap due to the controversial risks associated with consuming too much.  However, I believe in doing my own research and making my own educated decisions on what is good for my body.  And today I’m drinking a cup of green tea 🙂

What’s in your cup?

    I love your pantry.
I have just cleaned mine out.
I had early “Pandemic Lock Down Prepper” items in there that I was able to return to my supermarket, for a refund, and donate. Some of the items that I returned were powdered milk, canned meats, different colored rices, dried beans, yeast, etc.

My refund (Publix gift card) was $154. I didn’t realize I had panicked so much.

My pantry makes more sense now. No more expired stuff.
